For each child enrolled in Nueva Esperanza, three $30 a month sponsorships are required. Each child needs a BASIC NEEDS SPONSOR to cover the costs of food, clothing, medical attention and other basic needs for a child. DAILY CARE SPONSOR that allows us to provide and maintain a building with classrooms, playground, library and kitchen for the children to attend and receive loving care each day. EDUCATIONAL SPONSOR to help cover the costs of qualified teachers, educational materials and curriculum needed for each child to receive classes on his or her age level.

About our child sponsorship program
Our sponsor system is set up so that each child can have three ($30 a month) sponsorships. For those who can do so, we encourage the same sponsor to cover as many sponsorships as possible to meet the needs of a single child. It actually costs around $120 a month to cover all the expenses for each child to be cared for in the ministry, however, the costs not covered by child sponsorship are covered from contributions to our general fund, to which regular or one-time donations of amount are appreciated.
Nueva Esperanza is equipped to care for children from ages two up through sixth grade. Sponsorship allow a child to attend Nueva Eseranza Monday through Friday so that their parent(s) can find employment without having to leave them to fend for themselves all day long. Our goal is to show these children the love of Christ each day while also meeting their physical needs and giving them the tools for a brighter future.
High School Youth Program
As funds are available, scholarships are available to children enrolled in Nueva Esperanza when they graduate from the sixth grade. Going on to High School is a difficult and expensive task for children who grow up in poverty. The children are granted scholarships based on their desire to continue their studies and financial need. The scholarships are awarded to the students according to their academic achievement.
Knowing that it will do no good for one of these children to graduate from high school if they do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, we have made the focus of our program the spiritual training of these children. Nueva Esperanza has a youth leader who is available on a daily basis to counsel the young people and help them with their schoolwork. A weekly youth group meeting and activity time are also planned for them.
